AUS BEAUTY BLOGGER.

Hi beauties!

The Autumn edition of the parcel FINALLY arrived after waiting what felt like years since receiving the Summer edit.

Majority of inclusions in this season's edit - more below!
I had no previous inclination about what the box would entail, other than the lip balm that had been posted on their official social media sites.

Now let's get to what you all came here for—the products.

The first item is a sample of the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Eau Fraiche Skinscent, which retails for $95.00. It's described as "the essence of summer" and contains ingredients such as mandarin, amber, lemon and orange. Personally I find the smell quite pungent in the respect that it smells like a fruity liquor of some kind. If you're someone that prefers a lighter, more delicate scent, then I think stray away from this.

Next is the Elizabeth Arden Advanced Ceramide Capsules - Daily Youth Restoring serum ($140.00). According to the booklet, this formula delivers triple the anti-ageing power to enhance skin's barrier repair function, replenish essential lipids and support the skin's natural renewal process. Sounds like a winner.

Now for the only makeup item in the box (if you would even consider it makeup anyway). Having used Burt's Bees lip balms in the past, I had high hopes for this product. This product works the same as the lip balms and works to re-hydrate the lips whilst adding a unique tint. My shade is called 'Carolina Coast' and unfortunately it's not necessarily the shade of lip tint I'd go for as this is more of a 'barbie' pink and washes out my pale skin. Nevertheless, I think if you were to pick this up in the ideal shade of your choice, it would be perfect for on the go when you need an extra hit of moisture and flush of colour without using lipstick! The Lip Crayon comes with 3.11g and retails for $16.95!

Perfection! My eyes lit up when I spot these little beauties in the box. I recently have dyed my hair from a bleach blonde to a dark blonde, but still have glimmers of blonde highlights peaking through from underneath. It's imperative with bleached blonde hair to maintain its crisp blonde colour and detain any brassiness coming through to prolong your next hairdresser visit! The John Frieda Sheer Blonde Colour Renew Shampoo and Conditioner retail for $17.99, but we're only provided with small sample sizes in the box. These products claim to contain colour-correcting technology to neutralise yellow tones, banish brassiness, and renew blonde colour! So excited to give these a test and I'm pleased they've included the whole set of shampoo and conditioner of this range!

Now into the skin care products. The first one being the BIODERMA Sebium Pore Refiner, retailing for $36.99. This sample claims to mattify, refine and smooth the skin's texture and tighten pores. Skin is left shine-free, radiant, and the product provides a powdery finish, making for a fantastic make-up base. From the sounds of it this would be ideal for combination to oilier skin types, who need extra moisture to be absorbed before applying their foundation. I have dry skin so I'll be passing it on to my family but still might give it ago to observe its pore controlling abilities!

JERGENS Hydrating Coconut Lotion (250ml) is next ($6.99 - wow!). This product denotes that it contains a unique illuminating blend and nourishing hydrators. Sounds promising!

Be warned that this next product actually leaked in my box, making all my products a powdery (thank god it was only powder!) mess. I thought my eyes had deceived me when I clasped it at first, second guessing whether they'd made a mistake and put bi-carb soda for cake baking in my beauty box. But nevertheless, it was indeed bi-carb soda, but in a scrub form. The Biore Baking Soda Scrub (125g) ($10.99) is an oil-free cleaning scrub, whose powder activates with water, gently exfoliating the skin and naturally dissolving. It claims to deeply clean pores and leave skin smoother in just one week!

A sample of Palmer's Cocoa Butter Moisture Rich Night Cream is a wonderful addition to the box, and retails for $14.99. It contains Retinol (WOOHOO) and vitamin E to result in smoother, younger looking skin. It also contains peptides to protect cell structure and repair skin overnight. For those of you who aren't aware, there has been a recent buzz in the beauty community that retinol is not only fabulous for providing smoother skin but indeed has powers to delay the skin-aging process - so might as well get on it while you're young, I say!

La Roche-Posay's Micellar Water Ultra for Reactive Skin ($25.95) claims to be a gentle, rinse-free cleanser to remove make-up, dirt and impurities without redness! Sounds interesting, though I always rinse my skin after taking off my makeup to ensure I'm fresh for the next day!

I hope this was helpful in deciding whether you want to pick up this season's edit of The Parcel by Marie Claire. Personally I found the items to be quite whimsical and predominantly skin-care related. I definitely would like the box to delve back into make-up products as these used to be prevalent back when the box first started and where my personal passions lie but I'll definitely get to using up these products in anticipation for the next parcel!
