AUS BEAUTY BLOGGER.

What drew me towards purchasing this product was the fact it was highly compared to L'Oreal Paris' True Match Foundation. Considering this was on sale for a measly $23.00 combined with a prestigious $9 discount for Priceline members only voucher, I couldn't dare turn this down.

I chose the shade 130 in True Beige, pictured above. Be aware that the larger the number does not correspond to a darker shade. Most of you would probably be knowledgeable of that, but I'm mentioning it just in case. A family member purchased 140 - Golden Beige of the foundation and it turned out to be much more orange than my shade even though the shade I purchased (130) was only "one shade" lighter.

The consistency of the foundation is neither runny nor thick. However it's easy to blend, therefore its leaning towards runny. Judging from experience it provides medium to high coverage depending on how much you apply. I found it to be noticeably thicker in consistency in comparison to Rimmel's Match Perfection Foundation which contrastingly provides little coverage of blemishes or redness.

Having dry skin on the front my nose occasionally denotes that foundation or any type of product placed upon the faltering skin emphasises its dryness. This foundation seems to unfortunately emphasise the dryness as it has a more matte finish rather than a glossy finish considering it doesn't make your face shiny. However, I've found the regions adjacent to my nostrils can feel quite oily subsequent to application of the product despite having a matte finish, therefore I always set my foundation with a transparent powder to relieve that oily feeling, my favourite being Rimmel's Stay Matte Pressed Powder.

The product is generally long lasting as I've worn it out every so often, with the product still prominently remaining on my face after a few hours. Although, I haven't tried it going out to a club or in any other environment where it's probable that makeup will begin to diminish over time so I'm not completely sure on that environment and the products' long-wear ability.

Summary:
Pros:
  • Successfully covers blemishes/red blemishes on the face
  • Long lasting
  • Doesn't appear oily on the skin
  • Range of shades to choose from
  • Great packaging - maybe a bit large for some but the pump executes just the right amount of foundation
Cons:
  • May feel a bit heavy or oily on the skin
  • Can emphasise dryness in some areas
Rating: ★★★★☆
4/5 stars.

Overall I'd suggest this product if you ever see it on sale and would prefer to save your dollars rather than splashing it out on expensive substitutes.
