AUS BEAUTY BLOGGER.

Hi everyone! If you're interested to see the exact colour and pigmentation of all shades in the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette, you've come to the right place.

I purchased the palette from Mecca for around $70 for myself for my birthday and bought something worth $5 so I could get free shipping!

This palette was non-stop raved about on social media and youtube so I figured I needed something that I would always use for more special occassions because I never really owned a high-end palette or a palette that supplied me with a diverse range of both matte and glitter shades.

The palette does indeed smell like cocoa which is a lovely touch but contrary to what every other reviewer and their mother has said, the typical 'eyeshadow smell' is still apparent - if that makes any sense!
The names of all the shadows
Pigmentation
As you can see from the swatches below, the colours are insanely pigmented and I can honestly say after using this palette for a long time - it blends tremendously well and you can build up the lighter shades to the darkness that you want easily!

Lasting power
The lasting power is impressive as well - having worn these shades clubbing on several occasions, the shades didn't fade or smudge (when using an eye-shadow primer) and creased only very minimally!

Top row (starting from the bottom the shades go from left to right)
Milk chocolate is a fantastic transition shade that can easily be built up to get the intensity you desire.

Middle row
Marzipan and Amaretto are the standout shimmer shades of this palette, as they are so creamy that you have to question whether they are actually pigments hahaha!

Bottom row
Cherry cordial is also a favourite of mine - albeit it does come off more brown than red on the eye which is a little disappointing as I feel like warmer red tones would be a great addition to the palette!

The only main weakness in the palette is the lighter shades, particularly White Chocolate and Strawberry Bon Bon as they do not have nearly as much pigmentation as they should have for a palette of this price. Nevertheless White Chocolate is still a great matte white shade to use to set eyeshadow primer and it works a charm.

Overall I highly recommend this palette to anyone searching to make their first purchase of a high-end eyeshadow palette but in saying that if you're short on money, please do not feel pressured to buy this palette because everyone else is saying that you NEED it in your life. There are plenty of great alternatives on the market (e.g. Morphe palettes - I have a review on the 35O palette if you're interested) that are fantastic value for money and may be more in your price range!

I hope you enjoy the rest of the day wherever you are in the world!

Hi!

MAC lipsticks are among my favourites and I always reach for them no matter what the occasion! I am a massive fan of nude lipsticks in particular so I thought I'd swatch and review my absolute favourites, as well as show how each of them look on the lips on paler skin as some of these lipsticks give off a completely different colour on different skin tones.
From left to right: Kinda Sexy, Velvet Teddy, Spirit, Mehr
Kinda Sexy - Matte finish
The first lipstick I'll talk about is Kinda Sexy. It has a matte finish and is a peachy nude. It isn't so light however to make you washed out so I think it's perfect for anyone looking for a pinkier neutral nude!
Kinda Sexy
Swatch of Kinda Sexy
As this is a matte shade and is lighter than my natural lip colour, it CAN tend to look and feel a little drying on the lips so I highly recommend wearing a lip balm under this shade! This is one of my ultimate favourites alongside Velvet Teddy (as you will see below).

Velvet Teddy
I completely understand why this is such a cult favourite. Velvet Teddy is the perfect nude and I ALWAYS reach for it because it can never go wrong. It is more on the browny side than pink as you'll be able to see from the swatches, but it honestly looks different on every single person I've seen try it.
Velvet Teddy - As you can see it's been very loved hahaha
Swatch of Velvet Teddy

Even though it's a matte finish, it is not drying in the slightest. If you're someone who's never really tried any nudes and is confused about what to get, I highly recommend snatching this beauty up!

Spirit - Satin finish
This is a typical 90's nude colour. It's a medium dark brown (NOTE: it IS darker than Velvet Teddy) so it is definitely not too daunting a shade for those who want to try out a darker nude lipstick!
Spirit
Swatch of Spirit
It's a satin finish so it's very very creamy and doesn't feel dry on the lips at all! Nevertheless, I have found that satin finishes do not have an extensive lasting power and come off very easily if you're eating food (which I always am - woops) so be careful!

Mehr - Matte finish
Mehr is a beautiful pinky/purple matte lipstick that somewhat resembles Kylie Jenner's lip colour in this photo. I never used to stray away from my everyday nudes but I've been reaching for this when I go to more special occasions or dinners.

I'm not wearing any lipliner in the photo above but I think that it's a great idea to invest into one with a brighter shade like this. I don't own it.. yet - but Whirl - a lipliner by MAC cosmetics - seems like the ideal shade to match Mehr.

An absolutely amazing dupe for Mehr is 'Whipped Caviar' by NYX! Whipped Caviar also has a matte finish. Be aware the pigmentation of the NYX substitute is worse than Mehr and definitely doesn't last as long!

I hope this was insightful in some way, please feel free to leave a comment on what your favourite shade is and any other lipstick recommendations for me!

Hey guys so I'm ashamed to admit I've been splurging on eye liners recently (I'll have a review on another cult favourite in a couple weeks ;) hahah) since my Maybelline HyperSharp peculiarly ran out 3 weeks after buying it even though I hadn't even used it that much and I know for a fact it didn't dry out. Oh well.

So I went to Mecca (an Australian beauty/cosmetics store) and picked up the "Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner" which retails at $29 AUD because I wanted a daily eye-liner that was an intense black and would last all day. The fact that it was waterproof was just an added bonus for me!

The product
This eye liner does not have a brush tip, but instead has a felt tip. It's somewhat more difficult to apply in juxtaposition to the Maybelline Hyper Sharp for example which has a brush tip, but if you're reasonably experienced with liquid eyeliner this will be simple to apply.

A negative point I have about this product is that it's quite difficult to get a thin precise wing. I find myself always wearing thick wings when using this liner as the tip of the product is reasonably big so keep that in mind if you like thin sharp wings.

Pigmentation/Colour payoff
The pigmentation is amazing on this product as you can see from the photos below! The finish is definitely NOT matte and has a vaguely shiny finish (as you can see in the photo with flash below), nothing too extreme but it ultimately does reflect the light, so if you want something incredibly matte, then steer away from this product.

Staying Power
This product in fact DOES stay all day as implied in the name! I've worn this product for hours on end and it does NOT budge, smudge, flake, crack, or anything of the sort! I have noticed that it fades the SLIGHTEST amount after many hours (e.g. around 5 or so) so if you want to maintain a really black colour you'd probably want to reapply another coat.

Waterproof?
The product is also waterproof. I've inserted a photo below of the swatches AFTER I've rubbed them a couple times with water, and as you can see they do not smudge at all which is SO impressive.
Swatches (after rubbing with water)
As you can see, it's difficult to get a precise thin line

Summary:
Pros:
  • Lasts all day
  • Doesn't crack, smudge or flake
  • Reasonably easy to apply
  • Easy to remove with makeup remover (waterproof or non-waterproof)
  • Waterproof
Cons:
  • Fades the slightest amount after many hours
  • Very difficult to draw a thin, sharp and precise wing because the felt tip is quite big
I hope this has helped you decide whether or not you want to pick up the product! For the most part it's pretty darn good if you want to spend a little extra money but I'm still hung up on the fact that the tip is a bit too big :(

Hey everyone! And Happy New Year! Recently I was fortunate enough to win this palette in a competition (conveniently when I was searching for a palette with a range of red - brown shades as they've been a recent obsession of mine), so I thought I'd swatch and review it.

The Morphe 35O Palette retails at US $22.99 from the official Morphe website, but can also be purchased from MakeupNet when they have it in stock. It comes with 35 shades, as suggested in its name, which are widely diverse, ranging from dark brown mattes, to light glittery champagne shades.

Morphe 35O Palette (With camera flash)
Majority of the shades are matte, but some of the glitter shades in the palette are noteworthy! As you can see below, a couple of them are insanely pigmented and creamy and look absolutely STUNNING when packed on the eyelid!

Swatches of the most pigmented and creamy glittery shades

The palette includes a wide variety of transition shades that blend so beautifully and effortlessly into the crease, and can be built up as much as you want to get the intensity of the colour you desire!

However, the pigmentation of the remaining shades vary. As you'll be able to see in the swatches further down below, the lighter shades are the weaknesses in this palette, but nevertheless I continue to use the plain white shade for setting my eye-shadow primer.

Swatches:
First (top) row of shadows (left to right)
Second row of shadows (left to right)

Third row of shadows (left to right)
Fourth row of shadows (left to right)
Fifth (bottom) row (left to right)
I've already used the palette to create a peach eye look, dark brown smoky eye and a dark red/orange smoky eye. The shadows last all day (when using an eye primer) and seem to only crease a little bit.

Overall I LOVE this palette and can see myself using it for a long, long time. I would highly recommend checking out the Morphe website and ordering yourself one of their palettes, whether it'd be the 35O or otherwise.

I hope this has helped you decide whether you want to pick up one of these beauties! Feel free to leave me a comment of your thoughts or hit me up on instagram!
